The installation titled Trouble patrol stresses narrative and metaphorical approach. It is an attempt to depict a dramatic story of my friend, a Slovak ISAF soldier in Afghanistan. As an artist, (physically non-participating) I am in the role of a "modeler" and a "set designer". Vainly attempting to reconstruct this event, I am building up this dramatic scene as a collage consisting of accessible, authentic and inauthentic, sometimes cliché kinds of material. Thus the classical model making is enriched with authentic items from the hotspots and confronted with explicit infographic materials related to the event itself.
